Ofcom has rebuked BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen Live for breaking broadcasting rules when a chef swore on-air after spoiling an omelette. In the transmission on December 5 last year, chef Tom Kime said “f**king hell” under his breath when his omelette stuck Michelin-starred Yorkshire chef James Mackenzie is to be a guest on this week’s edition of the popular BBC TV cookery show Saturday Kitchen. The BBC has said all future episodes of cookery show Saturday Kitchen will go out live after admitting that viewers were encouraged to call in on premium rate lines even though a third of the episodes had been pre-recorded.
